Hello,
I am wanting to intergrate the Youtube API into my website but don't know where to start.
I kinda understand the concept, requesting infomation from the server then it giving a response but I have no clue how to do this in code.
I was wandering if anyone could help me by pointing me in the direction of a good tutorial? I have looked at http://code.google.com/apis/gdata/basics.html
but that has not helped me much so I am looking for more help.

Thanks

Hello techie5487 and welcome to Lockergnome!

What language are you planning on coding with and what is the goal of the site when it's all said and done?

Hello silmaril8n,
I am planning on coding the site in PHP so hopefully the API stuff would be in that format aswell.

My main intended use for the API is so I can get comments from youtube and put them on my site and also give details, Views, Favourited etc.
I believe this is how API's should be used, correct me if i'm wrong!

I haven't worked with the YouTube API so I'm not sure what all the features are, but Zend has a nice library for working with Google data.

http://framework.zend.com/download/gdata

Check that out and I bet there are some code samples as well.
