Hello,
I am bidding on a laptop on ebay and have discovered this picture which shows a wierd looking "port".

I am not trying to avoid the less than 100 post link rule just its impossible to put into words...

Code:

Hello,

From left to right, I see:

  • exhaust port for CPU/GPU fan (you can see some of the copper fins inside it)
  • round connector (probably power, but could also be a composite video out)
  • VGA connector (blue 15-pin D-submini connector)
  • Ethernet connector (RJ-45 jack)

Regards,

The 'round' port could be a PS2 port for a mouse. There would usually be an icon impressed into the plastic case next to that port to tell you what goes in there.
That would date it as fairly OLD. New laptops don't have PS2 ports on them.

What jumps out at me, is the condition of the exhaust port. All those little louvers should be straight up and down. Some have evidently been damaged.
So I wonder what other damage that little guy has been subject to.

You're really NOT going to buy this...... Right?
