Post subject: IE7 tab feature quit I'm running Vista Ultimate

Yesterday the tab function just quit. I've disabled all add ons and it's still dead. Well it worked for about 15 min!!!
I'm running Vista Ultimate on a Dell XPS720. 4GB RAM

Any help will be appreciated.

1. Launch IE7.
2. Click on Tools, then select Internet Options.
3. Click on the General tab.
4. Locate the Tabs section and then click on Settings button.
5. Check “Enable Tabbed Browsing”.
6. Click OK and then close the window.

Thanks but I did check that and tabbed browsing was checked. I went back and checked it again and it was checked, closed IE, and for the heck of it, opened it up and tested it and it is working again! I did a virus scan yesterday (I use Kaspersky) and it was clean. I checked for spyware and malware - even did a rootkit scan - nada. I am baffled. It's working but for how long? I'd like to know what's causing this - just because!
