| Right click on the big blue Internet Explorer icon on your desktop (Internet Properties). Scan all the way over to "Advanced". Scroll about 3/4 of the way down to the "Printing" section. Make sure that the "Print background colors and images" is checked. Click "Apply", and "OK". Let us know if that works.
P.S. It's not safe to put your true e-mail address in public like that! We normally respond like this, or if necessary you can click on the "PM" button on the message. That will set up a safe personal message method of communicating between two people. Your true address will not be published out to everyone!

I had so many problems after allowing MS to download and install I.E.7 on my PC that I had to UN-Install it.
Since then I've removed the blue e from my desktop.
I use Firefox exclusively, and I use the I.E.Tab add-on to access sites written for I.E.
I.E. is just too UNSAFE to use on a regular basis.
Good Luck,

| Do you have any problems viewing gif and jpg files? I ask because I.E printing is tied into the general viewing of files. I agree with the Doctor - use Firefox, and ignore I.E. !!! |

Since my own Software Guru put me onto "Photo Filtre", it's the only program I use for viewing and editing any type of Graphics file.
I've never done so many "Screen Captures" in my life as I have after installing Photo Filtre.
Many web sites are written in such a way that you can't copy the pictures off of it.
I just do a screen print, which saves the screen to the Windows "Clipboard", then I pop up Photo Filtre from the icon in my Quick Launch toolbar and I paste the screen image into Photo Filtre as a new image.
Then I can highlight the area I want to save and right click on that area and click "Crop".
Now I've got just the part of the screen that I want to print or save.
Also in Photo Filtre, I can lighten or darken the image and change the size.
The photo editing options are almost endless.
Some people have spent hundreds of dollars for programs to do what this little program does for FREE.
I know this has little to do with either I.E. or Firefox, but if you do anything with photos or pictures, you need to take a good look at "Photo Filtre".
The print screen key has been on our keyboards since the DOS days.
Now with Photo Filter, I'm finally able to use that key effectively in Windows.
It's rarely I find a program of this quality and usefulness that is still FREE.
Grab a copy before it goes full retail.
I used the screen print> to Photo Filtre > Crop and save technique to get the above picture. It took less than a minute to get the picture ready to upload to "Photo Bucket".
Give it a try!

Cheers Mates!
Happy Holidays!

doc - this same procedure can be done using Paint which is packaged with Windows. I've not tried the program you mentioned, but often use the Print Screen key and Paint. Many times I've wanted a larger picture or printed text part of a page and use the magnification of Paint to enlarge, crop and save the info. Just another of the many ways to accomplish the same ending.
rfrye6 - you might also check your printing software settings in control panel regarding your issues with IE. Or when the Print window opens before printing, go through the Options or Advanced Settings to be sure that they are all set to your liking. Hope this helps you some. |

Paint is FREE and so is "Photo Filtre" but therein the similarities stop.
Photo Filtre is very easy to use and will do things with photos that paint can only dream of.
Try it before you discount it as not worthy of your time.
Every computer has paint installed and very few people ever use it.
There's a good reason for that.

Maybe it's because I.E, knows that the Coupon Printing programs are loaded with spyware.
Coupons.com is the pits!!!
I take that crap off of my customer's PC's all the time.
Do yourself a favor and dump it!!

I don't have a solution because I don't use IE7 and can't install it on any of my computers but I can suggest a workaround that might work.
Drag the mouse over the page (text and pictures) that you want to print out then select print and when the settings box comes up choose print selection. This just might print all the pictures rather than just the first one. |

if you use print selection then you can't control how many pages you type, i like to print on both side of the paper, i don't want to waste paper. |

Hello,
I was able to visit the web page at http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/map-a-drive-letter-to-a-folder-the-easy-way-in-windows and print it from Internet Explorer 7 on a computer running Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition to a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 1022n laser printer. The computer and printer are plugged into the same Ethernet switch.
Does Print Preview work for you?
Which version of Microsoft Windows are you running, what sort of printer are you printing to and how is the printer connected to the Internet?

rfrye6, then you open notepad or word, paste the selection in, crop what you don't want out, change to a smaller font, etc. and print a page at a time inserting the paper so you can do two-sided printing. Or you purchase a product I use called FinePrint, which allows me to print from 1 to 8 pages on 1 side of an 8 X 11 1/2 sheet of paper. FinePrint is set up as my default printer so I can see what will print out. If the last page only has a few lines on it, I go through the above procedure and edit some lines out or change the font to decrease the number of pages printed.
http://www.fineprint.com/
I've used this program for years. |

Hello,
If you go to the aforementioned web page in Internet Explorer 7 and select File -> Print Preview from the main menu bar to see a preview of what will be printed on your display before it is sent to the printer, do the images appear on screen or have they "vanished," just like in the hardcopy printouts?
