For those who use the "HostsMan" program to manage your HOSTS file, you may have recently noted a problem with downloading from the hpHosts site.

On my PC and those of several of my customers, when HostsMan would try to download from hpHosts, the program would just 'Lock Up'.
Not Good!

My first solution was to open the HostsMan program, select update and then DE-Select the hpHosts as a download site.
NOT using hpHosts, solved the immediate problem of the HostsMan program locking up.
I sent out an email to my entire list, outlining this temporary fix.

A more permanent fix was to download the newest version of the "HostsMan" program from:
http://www.abelhadigital.com/

The latest version is a 'Beta-4' , but hey, it works great and DOES download the hpHosts file without a whimper.

Problem SOLVED!

Bump: (well, sort of.....)

The new HostsMan program works great as I have already said and has one more little side effect that I like.
It doesn't leave an "H" icon in the system tray like the previous version,,,,
but,,,it does one little thing that I hope they fix in subsequent versions.

When you've closed the download/install window and get back to the original HostMan window, with the three Icons in it, you need to wait about five seconds before clicking the 'X' in the upper corner to close that window.
If you don't WAIT the five sec's or so, the window won't close. Question Question

I hope they fix that little glitch in the next upgrade.

Cheers Mates!
