I would like to know how to hide my email address when sending emails using outlook. I do not want to reader to be able to find out what my email address is. Can someone tell me?
Malicious intent? I would rather say mischevious intent.
I want to send an email to a person in the business world that simply says "Ass!". The end result would allow me to cater to my childish side while retaining work from that company.
Hey at least I am being honest here.
whatcha say? |

Yeah, I should really sermon you about mixing 'business' and 'ass' as a prank but you have already admitted to being childish and you will probably become unprofessional once you execute such an act.
Who cares really if you cannot find a more appropriate means of dealing with others in a workplace?
But I also see you putting your best foot forward here at the LG::Forums with your first post!
Unfortunate as this situation is, I think the best way to handle this situation would be to get yourself a disposable mail account and have at it. There are anonymous mailers that can be used but I hardly don't think you would have to resort to such tactics!
I find that a clever and a creative tongue can always win over stoopid pranks that we all grow out of!
No need to hide under mommies skirt any longer, if you are old enough to sign in as a member of LG::Forums then you are adult enough to handle matters accordingly! Dig? |

Ouch!
However, you are absolutely right about everything you say here. We were pondering this in our office as an off the cuff discussion. So I thought well maybe I would find out. I akin my request as more of a kind of funny to know; similar to the shortcuts postings. "Yeah we can do it and we will get what we want out of it but really how often will we really use it." The answers today have always been the same; the same as yours. Did I really expect an indepth of how to do it? Not really. So, I appreciate that you took the time to offer your feedback as well as your suggestion of how to achieve this trivial pursuit.
I salute you for your patience and desire to answer even the most trifle of posts.
Best wishes

well we all have to make the day easier...
but hiding the address is easy, just send a Blind Copy.
In Outlook, the Bcc (blind copy) field is not shown by default, just the address and cc fields but to make it visilble by default is easy.
If word is your email editor, just click the drop down arrow to the right of the options button and select Bcc
if word isn't your email editor just click on view and select Bcc
The blind copy will now be visible by default, and any address you enter in there will not be seen by the other recepitants.
Have fun. |

| Just ran across this, and it is wrong! You go to "Properties" > "Details" - and it lists all the addresses that it was sent from and to. I do this all the time so I don't "Forward" a message to someone who already has it. |

| hi sacwb, this might not be exactly what you wanted but funnily enough i saw an ad for a site where you can send anonymous emails that can be replied to apparently. http://www.anonysend.tk ... hope that helps. |
