Need Help With Rss New At Everything

I use Mozzila Firefox with an Wizz RSS reader, but, I don't know how to subrscribe or do much of anything with this RSS stuff. I was able to install the RSS plug-in for Mozilla Firefox, and read through their small instructions, but as far as using in RSS, I'm at a lost.

Right now I get emails from Lockergnome and the various fantics topics I'm interested on. A long, long, time ago used my OE to subrscribe to newsgroups from Lockernome in order to participate in discussions or to ask help on a given topic.

Is RSS the samething as newsgroups? if so how do I go about using it.

First of all, I use Firefox with Sage, I prefer this one to Wizz Reader.

With Sage all you have to do is add an .XML file a site is providing to your bookmarks in SAGE folders and you're subscribed to RSS Channel.

RSS is just a file with information. An XML file to be exact. If you add a file like this to your RSS Reader - your Reader will just check if the file is getting updated with new information and it reads this file, thus giving you information.

It's like a REAL ONLINE newsletter, but you don't have to give your email address.
