|
|
I installed bsafe on my computer. It has worked great for 3 years now but I have forgotten my password because I changed it. When I contact bsafe they say they can not help me unless I know the password! I don't want to discontinue the use but I don't know what else to do. It has always blocked some sites that in my opinion did not need blocking. I really miss my youtube. I had it blocked so my 6 year old would not see some of the stuff on there. Now even I can't view it!!! I would appreciate any help on this issue. Thanks |

I'm not familiar with bsafe at all so I probably will be of little help. But what did the company have to say for you to do about a forgotten password? Or did they just -TOTALLY- brush you off until you remember it?
Short of maybe a BRUTE FORCE password cracker, I don't know what else there would be to try, and then you'd have to know something about the program to do it.
Personally, if the company was that ERR, UMM, stubborn to help, I'd say forget it! (and get a refund) Unless someone else can come up with a better idea, I believe it probably will end up being a lost cause. Sorry! (unless maybe you can uninstall that one & start from scratch with a new password?)
Also, (if worse-comes-to-worse) Firefox has some parental control add-ons & if you use google to get to U-tube, there is a filter there as well. (the latter is what I use - & it blocks inappropriate content pretty good) |

Why don't you try remove the program from your hard drive then re-install it with a new password and write it down this time on your monitor so you will always have it. I have had to do that a couple of time. Of course, I'm an ooold fart with a bad memory. Ha. Ha. |
