Hey all,
As the subject says, Im trying to set a different heading for different 6 different sections in my 24 page document, but having the page numbers increment as normal.

Ive used the section break thing to seperate between the 2 (or more) sections as "word help" explained. (insert> break > page > OK )

Now, in the header & footer window, theres an option ... "same as previous" which you are supposed to click on to "break contact" with the other section/s. My little "same as previous" icon is greyed out. Confused

Any ideas what I'm not doing right ???
Thanx for any help
Musical.

Ok, within your document go to header/footer. Then chose Page Setup (icon that looks like open book pages). Chose the Layout tab; there you will find many options to chose from.
In the first section entitled "Section" you can chose where you want to start from with the drop box.
In the "Headers and Footers" section you can decide how you want to select the pages to be affected and the location the footer/header will be from the edge of the page.
At the bottom of the page in the "Preview" section you can decide where in the document you will have the effects take place, you can add numbering, page bordering shading etc (and only to your selected pages).
