Hello,

My Maxtor SATA hard disk has started to make these alarm noises during startup and sometimes when the computer is running. But the hard disk isn't available on the computer, it can't see it anymore. Any help?

Hello,

Seagate acquired Maxtor about a year ago, so they now provide the diagnostic and troubleshooting tools for Maxtor hard disk drives. You can download a copy of Seagate's SeaTools software from this page on Seagate's web site site in order to text your Maxtor SATA hard disk drive.
