In 1987, a privately funded group attemped to connect the human mind directly to a computer interface. They allegedly succeeded.
In 1989, Pocket Books published
a novel detailing the events surrounding the experiment, and the
seven lives that were lost as a result of it. The book has been out of print for more than ten years.
Finally, the information that has been covered up for over a decade is now available to the public.
