| Does the printer try to print but no ink is shown on the page? If so, the print heads probebly need cleaning.
If you can feed paper into the printer, which means that the paper block has been removed, try uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling it.
If necessary refer to the user manual for information on how to do any of that.

| Eris, Thanks for your reply. The printer does not do anything, not even try to do anything. It is almost like their is power to it but it is pluged in and connected. I tried all of buttons to make it whatever but to no avail. I will have to try to find the paper work on it, if I still have it. Thanks again. |

Allo wi and welcome to the LG Forums ...
Are you sure that ALL the paper bits have been removed??? I've only had one really bad jam (i.e. paper torn) on my hp5650, and after I removed the paper tray and peered inside using a torch, I found a minute scrap of paper that was blocking a sensor inside...
Unfortunately, I can't now remember where inside it was I do remember that it took a drinking straw to get it out though!!! Rather like using a vacuum cleaner to pick a coaster off the floor ...
If the paper DIDN'T tear, i.e. a 'block' of paper went through but stayed intact, try removing the cartridges and putting 'em back again... The print head is actually in the cartridge itself and the wedge of paper might have knocked either them or the electrical contacts out of alignment...
Post back with a result and we can scratch our heads a bit more if neccessary .... |

| Have you tried to disconnect the printer from the wall plug and the computer, wait a few minutes, then reconnect and turn it on? Sometimes the printer memory simply needs to be cleared. Just a thought, hope it helps. |

Thank you very much for your reply. I tried unplugging it, I removed the paper and checked to see if any bits of paper inside with a flash light but all clear. I replugged the printer and tried to print but still will not do anything at all. I will unplug it and bring to someone else's computer and plug in and see if it will print there. Thank you very much for your reply.

Is the power light on solid green when you turn it on?
I tried finding a big image of this printer...couldn't find a good one. Just want to know, is there any other buttons on the printer besides the power button? If it has some kind of a Continue or Go button, press and release that immediately. Most printers will print out a test page when you do this.
Does it show you any errors when you try to print? Look at the system tray near the clock for a printer icon. If found, click on it and see if it's waiting to be printed there.
It might be a bad cable connecting to the printer and computer. |

I have seen quite a few problems with this model printer. The fixes have all revolved around uninstalling the printer (and removing extra HP entries from the registry) and then reinstalling the drivers.
Good luck! |
