HELP! QUICK! Need Corel Presentations 8.0 or alternative

okay.. so heres what happened at school i had created a slideshow.. about my family and i have relatives that are comming from all across canada to our house for christmas. this slideshow was about how much i love my family .. so this was going to be there x-mas gift... i was going to do a big showing of it for everyone to see..

but heres the problem.. the software i used at school was called Corel Presentations 8.0 and i dont have this software at home.. now its the christmas break and christmas is in 2 days and i cant find any program that supports it..

plz anyone help?
i need this for x-mas .. or by the 29th! Sad

I thought this site might be able to convert it to power point for you

but Corel Presentation is not listed; only powerpoint and open office.

Corel doesn't have a viewer, similar to the power point viewer available from MS to see PPT files even if the person doesn't have Power Point on his computer.

What you may also be able to do is download & install a 30-day trial (free) of Corel WordPerfect Office from their site at Corel - CorelDRAW, WinDVD, Ulead Video Studio, Paint Shop Pro, WordPer...t, WinZ. Apparently the trial is fully-functional, so you should be able to view your presentation in it. You can then use the advice in the topic I linked to above to convert the presentation to a format that can be viewed on a system that does not have Corel Presentations.

Also, could you please advise what the file extension is for your presentation (.pps etc)? Knowing the file type may help other gnomies find a suitable reader for you to use.

seaeagle, Corel doesn't even mention v8 on their site so I suspect the trial version would be v 12 and might not work at all with v8.
v8 incidentally for for win 95; it is pretty long in the tooth.

Corel is pretty good about being 'backwards compatible'.

V12 should read everything created by older versions such as V8.
