Hello friends,

I am having two problems.

Problem 1:
I am using Opera 9.64 browser. By mistake I removed the "New Tab" icon form the toolbar. Now I am not able to figure it out how to bring it back. Can you please help me out.

Problem 2:

I am having problem with my microphone. It's not working. It has the dpvsetup.exe error. My brother has laptop and he is facing same error but his mic is working fine. His skype and sound recorder are working fine but not mine. I have tweaked registry as i was told, i reinstalled new drivers from the nvidia website, and at last after a lots of frustration i reinstalled windows again but still facing the same problem. I am having ASUS motherboard with Nvidia nForce Audio and my OS is windows 2003. Guys please help me out. This problem is killing me.

Hi neO, Right click on the toolbar and select customize and than check the box marked Tab Bar.
You can also simply right click on the toolbar and select "new tab".
Opera 9.64 seems to have an issue with sound, on my machine I was unable to make the mic. or speak funtions work.
I solved my issue by downloading a slightly earlier version Opera 9.63 and the sound features work fine.
You may download 9.63 from here

Good luck Cool

Dear Pasquanel,

Thanks for the reply. I have solved my first problem by installing Opera 10. But my second problem still persists. Can anyone please help me to get my mic working ??

Do you have a Control Panel in your OS ?
If so, try Sounds and Audio Devices there.

Yes I tried that. But it didn't helped as well. Moreover a fresh copy of Windows 2003 server in new partition with latest drivers from nVidia and Directx 9.0c for windows 2003 server was installed. But still facing the same problem. I have onboard sound and my mother board is Asus. Please help me. This problem is blowing my head out.

I'd install a sound card if the onboard just isn't working for you, for whatever reason.

Just a thought,
as you have onboard sound, is the anything in the Bios that controls the microphone ?

@ zlim : I have problem with my microphone only. My onboard audio is working fine. Why should i go for another card then ??

@kenmabmcc : There is nothing in the BIOS to enable microphone. I have already enabled audio. I have only problem with microphone. All other things are working fine.

Because the microphone jack on the one you have installed isn't working.

I wouldn't have posted my problem here if I would have planned to buy a new card.

I am sorry if I sounded rude. But this microphone has frustated me a lot. After clean installing the windows still this error is not solved and that is driving me mad. All solutions are highly appreciated.

Hello,

Have you verified the Windows Audio service is started and running in the Services Control Manager?
