| Why, would I want it?
I don't even have Chrome on my car!
Why would I ever want it on my computer?
Life is really pretty good without it.

Dang straight, I own an import.
Why would I ever want an overpriced gas hog from a company that can't even manage its own finances?
But even on Detroit Iron, Chrome is quickly being replaced by plastic.
Ah, the good old days of huge Chrome grills and bumpers.
But, I still don't understand why I'd ever want Chrome on my computer.

Hello,
Chrome is a web browser developed by Google. It contains several features which are implemented differently than in Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, which might make it of interest, such as each browser tab running in its own session, and JavaScript rendering engine developed by Google. Supposedly the latter works much faster than those in Internet Explorer or Firefox, especially when making use of Google's web properties.
Regards,

If you want chrome but without the glitz, bling and the associations with google try iron instead .
It's based on the same code.

I use it from time to time........but I default to firefox which I much prefer....for me it just does what it says on the tin (sorry) |

I've been using it as my primary browser since the beta. I was always impressed by the speed but version 2.0 is noticeably faster.
The only sites that don't seem to work are the ones that explicitly check for browser type and prevent anything else being used. This is no surprise since it uses the same rendering engine as many other mainstream browsers and has a better Java implimentation to boot.
Each tab running as an isolated process is also great. I don't get the hangs that FF and IE can suffer under load or with poor code. Only one tab crashes or has to be closed.
If the web developer facilities were a little better it would be perfect. |

I had it and at firsr it was good because it launched faster thn ie or firefox I have key guard and only half gig memory it was also faster then I noticed that I kept getting tracking cookies from it but what really sucked was that it started too slow down and all my other browsers sucked and my internet connection was effected as soon as I deleted no problems There is some major faults with it and people with lots of memory may not notice

| From what I've seen, I like it. However, I can't log in to GMAIL with it, curiously! Therefore, I don't use it. |

| Odd that you can't log in to Gmail. Works fine for me. I'm using V2. |

I consistently use Chrome, Firefox, and IE to test my work.
It must be because of my poor Javascript skills and/or Chrome's new Javascript engine, but one of my context menus does not work on Chrome, but works fine in Firefox and IE. |
