At the last minute last year, Furo and I tried to organize a "morning after" golf outing on Sunday after Gnomedex. Furo and I were the only ones who wound up playing, but several folks said they would have, had we let them know sooner. So... it's sooner this time. Anyone want to play golf Sunday after Gnomedex III? We won't tee off before 10 am, so all the late night revelers can get a few minutes of sleep.

3 or 4 times a week? You dog! Wink I'm lucky to get 3-4 in a month or two.

At this point I don't know where. Last time, Furo and I played at a public course about five minutes north and east of downtown.

I am trying to find out how many folks are interested before I seek a venue.

Personally, I gave up golf when that &*$% windmill wouldn't let my putt get by, almost caused a nervous breakdown! :D

Here's a little trivia, though. Iowa has more golf courses per capita than does Florida, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting a spot.

The newest one in the area that I know of is near the town of Polk City (a 15 minute drive from Des Moines) I don't know the name of the course off hand, but it was designed by Arnold Palmer, and I believe he is at least a part owner.

What time, how do I get there and how much are green fees? I don't play well but I like pain, skins & snakes (front and back 9) for .25 a hole? If I can delay my flight to the afternoon, it sounds like a blast.

Well moose, so far there have only been two repondents so...

I haven't confirmed a venue, green fees, times etc as I was waiting to see if there were enough folks to make it worthwhile. So far it's not looking like there is.

If however, we get a few warm bodies, I'll let you know.
