okay whats up with gmail. i've had my account for almost 8 months now but for some reason i can't get in to it i can't get the password reset the answer i had is changed. the only thing i get is an email to my back up account saying they can't send to my second account, but the address the message says its trying to send to is not my account its some spammers account. i can't even get anything sent to support because they don't take my account names from any of my email accounts.? Sad

does anyone know of the cause for this and how to fix it.? Sad Confused

thanks. Cool

So, you suspect that someone has "HIJACKED" your account? (spammer?)
Best suggestion I can give is to CALL gmails tech support, if you can.

If you can't, for whatever reason, do that then the only alternative I see is to make a new account.

some one from support must have seen this message?

i got an email to go to another page and try to reset the password on that page. it was not the same as the one the main link took me to the other day.

so i reset a new password and got in today, cleaned it up.
i have been getting emails from the account because i had it send them to my other account but i could not get in to clean it up and manage it,, that spammer had a vi ag r email address listed as the account owner. how that happened had to be by hack job. i hope they got better security on it now.

Cool

Given the nature of things where you think the account is compromised, I'd be very careful of what I sent to that connection. (or any even close) You could be feeding the "hackers" with info.

yep i thought of that too. but it was a good page that i got sent . it was just for resetting the password. so it did not get anything sent to them.
and i only use the email to send out large files. but i can send out fairly large files on hotmail now so i use it less now to send only pick up email from some people.

Cool
