I have recently done the upgrade to Suse10.2, and it just happen to have Firefox2.0, imagine that. LOL 'Very Happy'.

My problem is when I try to launch Firefox, in most cases i will get a message that Firefox is running but not responding and I have to reboot system to correct this. In most cases my Firefox has never been opened until that particular moment.

What need I do to resolve this issue.

After looking here http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=483517&postdays=0&am...ostorde

I would suggest upgrading to Ff v2.0.0.1

Or if you have done that, uninstall your Google bar, if you have one.

I use the Add-on Google Bar Lite.

Try starting Firefox from a terminal. You should then see any error messages such as certain add-ons not loading correctly or problems finding a library or plugin.

Starting Firefox in safe mode might also allow you to find & fix any problems. On Linux, you can go to your Terminal and run (for Firefox): /path/to/firefox/firefox -safe-mode (see here: Safe Mode - MozillaZine Knowledge Base).

If worst comes to worst, backup your current profile to another location while Firefox is closed & delete the one in the Firefox directory. Firefox will then start a new profile the next time you start it. If you need to recover your passowrds from the old profile, this site should help you: Mozilla Password Recovery Tricks. You might also want to read this topic: Firefox default_user. It advises on how you can restore your old profile, so you don't need to reinstall all of your add-ons etc.
