| Lost my AdBlock Plus extension due to incompatibility.
Well, could not do without AdBlock Plus,
so downloaded Nightly Tester Tools Add-on and forced compatibility of all extensions.
This may break Firefox 3 beta 5 depending on what extensions you have, you have been warned.

I'm sure, well almost sure, that you meant update from 4 to 5. Right?
I just did the update myself and it took less than a minute on my WildBlue satellite ISP connection, but at 75kbps and not the 3kbps for my dial up. It also told me that my current version of I.E.Tab will not work with the "5" upgrade. Oh well...... such is life.
The guy who writes I.E.Tab, is pretty quick to update his program so I'm not worried about it. I can always use Internet Exploder if I need it.
Seaeagle,
Wallpaper? I make my own out of the digital pictures I take. Here's my latest wallpaper. A bonfire in my back yard.
Yeah, you can usually get some good deals at those neighborhood computer stores. Very few BigBox PC makers are offering XP or no OS at all.
Y'all have a great day now, Y'hear?

Thanks for the correction, Doc.
Now that daylight saving finished last night,
and having an extra hours sleep,
I may get things right.

I upgraded from Beta 4 to Beta 5 , but when the message came up that my AdBlock + would not work with Beta 5, I reloaded Beta 4.
I can't work LG Forums without AdBlock to get rid of all those popups and banners and side bars, etc.
So much for upgrades! ha ha ha ha!!!!

Doc, I can't give you the techy specifics but basically using a Nightly Tester Tool overrides the settings in different extensions that limit the FF maximum version compatibility for those extensions. I used one a long time ago. Can't remember why now, but it worked. It may also help keep personal changes in Chrome and User js working right after upgrading too, but I'm not sure.
Anyhow, that's why I'm really dreading going to V3. I've got my FF looking and working just the way I want it. I'd forgotten about the nightly testers...they may just save my bacon when the time comes. I hope so! |

I installed the program.
I finally found it in the Tools menu.
Look as I may, I cannot find anything that says, "Make All Compatible".
??????????
Now what?

Sorry about that Werebo,
it works OK with my Firefox3 beta5,
which is probably monkey free.

SeaMonkey released an update, a little while ago. Since then, my ImageZoom and IETab add-ons don't work. I keep getting an 'Install Script not found' error.
Oh well, I expect they'll update the add-ons, just in time for the next SeaMonkey upgrade. Just as long as the 'AddBlock +' works, it makes this forum a lot more acceptable to my eyes, without the ads etc.
