February 8 2008 COOLSITES Newsletter #151 by Mark Donaldson
Dear COOLSITES Subscriber:
My luem42coolsites and luem42scoolsites at Gmail.com accounts have been falsely tagged as a source of spam so you may not have received the last few newsletters. The help I have been getting from Google has been nothing more than form letter like responses. Therefore I will be temporarily abandoning those accounts and using new ones. My main luem42 at Gmail.com account, with which you can contact me, will remain the same. However the newsletters will be sent to you from luem42a or luem42b@ at Gmail.com . Please add those addresses into you address book and whitelist them to receive the newsletter. If you don't get my weekly newsletter you can see them online at:
http://luem42.googlepages.com/coolsites.html on Saturday morning.
To see the newsletters you missed go to :
http://luem42.googlepages.com/newsletter.html .
Some subscriber addresses may have got lost in the transition. If you don't get the February 8 2008 newsletter (the week's one) please contact me to resubscribe. But if you got this notice you should be getting this week's newsletter. I am sorry for the inconvience and Thank You for your continued support.

Clif Notes Newsletter, Feb 2007
http://freewarewiki.com/ClifNotes
"The COOLSITES Newsletter - find the coolest links here. This fella named Mark Donaldson has been sending out his lists of cool sites since 2003. I'd never heard of him before last week. One day I was Googling myself to see who was posting links to my newsletter, and I found his website. I guess he's mentioned my newsletter at least 3 times. I like the COOLSITES website too, but I think it could use some reformatting to make it a bit easier to read. What I really like is the content there. Mark must really read a lot of stuff on the web and he takes the best links then tells you about them."

From: The Leebow Letter
Dear Internet Friend,
I just returned from my media tour and wanted to share with you some of the great technology items that I talked about.
No doubt, the iPhone (here are some very cool things the iPhone can do) is the best thing since sliced bread, but here are some other incredibly useful tech tools.
1. Eye-Fi - a brand new SD card that allows you to send photos using Wi-Fi. Simultaneously, you can send photos to your computer and an online photo site. For example, I send my photos to FaceBook.
2. Slide and Negative Converter - From my college days, I have thousands of slides. Sadly, I haven't looked at them in years. Well, thanks to this product, those slides have been converted to digital files. Wow, the memories. This is the product that got the most buzz from my viewers.
3. Flip Video - Ah, a simple (and inexpensive) video camera that easily uploads video files to your computer and YouTube. Here's a sample: There's nothing like a six-year-old playing in the snow -- for the first time.
Also, I have been traveling the country speaking about "Online Safety" and "The Future of the Internet". For details, check out Leebow.com.
If you've got teenagers/college students, check out my recent appearance (online safety) on CBS:
http://www.cbs46.com/video/15161675/index.html
For even more details, be sure to visit my site: CrossingTheDigitalDivide.com.
And last, but not least, since TV is in a re-run mode, here are some incredible videos and video sites.
Until next time, wishing you Net Speed,
Ken Leebow
