Quote:
To promote freedom, fairness, and economic opportunity by repealing the income tax and other taxes, abolishing the Internal Revenue Service, and enacting a national sales tax to be administered primarily by the States.

Hmmmm? Not a lot of details about "sales tax to be administered primarily by the States" though.

Thanks.

I think it's a good idea. Or a flat tax. Or something different than what we have now. That's why I liked Ron Paul. Pull all of our troops back from overseas. Close all foreign military bases. The money saved would be enough to end payroll tax for everyone.

A lot of folks want a simpler and better tax system that's more fair across the board but I don't think we are going to see it ej, not with our current form of government and everybody in line looking for government to take care of them.

"everybody in line looking for government to take care of them" - including those other countries where our bases are. Even if it were within our interests to withdraw from the world (an argument for another thread), those other countries would throw a fit if we left. They may like to pretend they want us gone, but few if any of them really do.
