| Does anyone know about how long it will take for FF3 to hit the repositories or at least be available as an RPM?
I don't like (dare I say, hate?) dealing with tarballs.
BTW: how long does it usually take ANY new program? (sorry for the ignorance but never had any reason to check before now)

| You could probably find out by checking in your distro's help forum. It depends on several things such as who the rpm is maintained by (the distro author or a volunteer user). Also, some distros won't release a new rpm until they have tested it thoroughly, as they don't to put out something that may cause problems with a user's system.

Well it appears that the updater on Fedora 9 took care of the problem for me as when I booted up it installed some updates & now FF no longer says beta.
BTW: It already had the beta version so I imagine Fedora already "trusted" it.
Thanks anyway... |
