Does anyone know about how long it will take for FF3 to hit the repositories or at least be available as an RPM?

I don't like (dare I say, hate?) dealing with tarballs.

BTW: how long does it usually take ANY new program? (sorry for the ignorance but never had any reason to check before now)

You could probably find out by checking in your distro's help forum. It depends on several things such as who the rpm is maintained by (the distro author or a volunteer user). Also, some distros won't release a new rpm until they have tested it thoroughly, as they don't to put out something that may cause problems with a user's system.

Well it appears that the updater on Fedora 9 took care of the problem for me as when I booted up it installed some updates & now FF no longer says beta.
BTW: It already had the beta version so I imagine Fedora already "trusted" it.

Thanks anyway...
