Hello today I opened my pc and Firefox started downloading some updates for my extensions. Everything went well I did all my work for 2 hours and before shutting down the pc I went and looked at the Event Viewer as I usually do. I went in the System and found the following for the first time:

Source: SideBySide
Event Id: 59
Description: Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC. Reference error message: The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.

Source: SideBySide
Event Id: 32
Description: Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC could not be found and Last Error was The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.

Source: SideBySide
Event Id: 59
Something about firefox extensions...I can't remember! I think C:/Documents and Settings/athina/ApplicationData/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/...default/Extensions/.....dll

I then googled the error and downloaded the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package to install the runtime libraries.

Should I do something more to stop the errors?

Temporarily "disable" all your FireFox "addons". If this solves your problem, reenable the them one by one until you find which one is causing your problem.

Thank you I will do that but I have noticed that after installing the C++ hotfix the SideBySide errors have stopped. I guess I will have to wait until the next firefox addons update to see whether it will show up or not! Smile
