Error Message " the product destination file lost"

I was trying to install Cyberlink Powerdirector v8 Deluxe.
I have ter OEM version7 that come installed and version 8 will not install without
deleting V7. When I try uninstalling it I get this Error: the product destination file lost". Is there a fix.

Hp computer,8gigs RAM, 750 G
Windows 7 home premium home

They might have a cleanup tool to remove the remnants of v7 so v8 will install.

sounds like it lost the unistall file so it don't know what to remove.

easy way to fix that is just delete the whole folder. then use a registry cleaner that works on your operating system. to clean the registry.

for windows vista and windows xp i use " RegScrubVistaXp " that is the name it is found at majorgeeks.com
and it does a deep search in the registry for buryed bad hotkeys.

but use a program that does a deep scan and works on your system.

that will get rid of the junk in the registry that is left there when you delete the folder. then run a junk files cleaner like ccleaner to get rid of any files that might have been loaded elsewhere and need removed before the new version is added.

that all should get your system clean like it never had the program in it.
and allow your new one to work for you.

wow zlim beat me already and i typed that fast. Laughing
