When you scan with a scanner of one brand and print the result with a printer of a different brand,,,,,there's just too much crap in the gap.

Scan your image into a wordprocessor (I use Wordperfect 8 ) and resize the pix to whatever you want and then print it. You can always save it for future reference while you're at it.

I've been doing this for years till I got my Epson CX3200, printer, scanner, copier. I still do it if I want to resize a pix or add text to it before printing.

Good Luck,
Shadow

I use an old Visioneer scanner and several HP printers. I drag the scan to the printer link. If it doesn't print correctly, it is the printer settings that need to be looked at. Can you preview what is going to be printed? Does the preview look wrong? Check to make sure that you have the correct paper size selected in your printer setup.

It will print normal on some settings but not on others...I am about to the point where I am going to scrap it all and go to a multi-function but I need one that prints good photos.

Most MF devices today will print acceptable photos.

I just happen to prefer Epson for many reasons that I won't even go into here.

I currently have three of them. Even the little multifunction printer that I got refurbished for $69, prints great photos. For really Kodak quality, I use my Photo R340.

If you're short on money, you can use the technique I outlined earlier.

Good Luck,

Hello,

Have you tried adjusting the DPI (dots per inch) settings on your EPSON 1240U image scanner, resizing the image in its copier software, or changing the printer settings to tell it to scale the print job up by 400% before printing it?

Regards,
