Drive Edmonton Ab To Gnomedex 4?

I'm considering driving from Edmonton Alberta to Gnomedex 4.0 (Stateline NV). Is someone interested in sharing the expenses and getting a ride? It's 1370 miles (2205 km)/33.5 hours via the scenic route or 1528 miles (2459 km)/23.5 hours via the fast route one way (figures from Yahoo Maps). I estimate gas required for my car (1987 Subaru wagon 2 wheel drive) at about 55 gal for either route one way. I'm thinking about taking the scenic route down and the fast route back, but I'm open to suggestions. If you're not too far off of the route, a detour to pick you up would be fine if you don't live in Edmonton. A round trip airfare Edmonton to Reno is about $433 CDN and you still have to get to Stateline (Lake Tahoe) which is about 60 miles (90 km) one way.
