I don't get a lot of spam on my main accounts.

But of the few that I have got and I've run a Whois on the return address (in case they're not spoofed) more than once or twice the e-mail address ahs been registered to "Domainsbyproxy.com". Arizona I think it was.
Is this a spammer's hosting company, as the name sugests?
And at least one spam through this site has been for financial services that were totally inappropriate for sale outside the USA anyway. ( I am outside the USA).

Their web site claims to be for privacy to prevent spam, etc.

"Did you know that for each domain name you register, anyone -
anywhere, anytime - can find out your name, home address, phone
number and email address?

The law requires that the personal information you provide with every
domain you register be made public in the "WHOIS" database. Your
identity becomes instantly available - and vulnerable - to spammers,
scammers, prying eyes and worse.

But now there's a solution: Domains By Proxy! "

So it's funny that the spam seems to be coming through their doorway.

PS
These seem to be an "affiliate company" of Gobuddy.com
This is who I got a return from when I sent an abuse@ complaint. Not the original domainsbyproxy
We'll see if they act.

But it does feel to me like an abuse of the Whois principle.

PPS I've had another reply from these people, now calling themselves FXdomains.com :whistling:

PPPS And now another reply from "secureserver.net" who say that they are handling my complaint....
And now I'm not surprised that spammers get such an easy ride.
