My domain name does not correspond with my website anymore... now the url to my page looks like this:
http://216.127.92.110/~admin132/

It should look like this:
http://www.jakessite.com/

My domain name is registered with registerfly.com
My site is hosted by WorldWebHosters.com

Compounding the problem is the fact that my administration pages at WorldWebHosters.com do not function properly.
This is Ensim server management software. Primary links do not work and haven't for well over a year. Efforts to contact
WorldWebHosters.com are fruitless.

The url problem started in March when the domain name renewal lapsed. after re-upping, jakessite.com worked for about 24 hours
but then reverted back to the other ugly url. I am not geeky enough to figure this out... nor do I have the time.

I got some help in here from Nathan who showed me that I merely needed to renew the domain name... but like I said, it only stuck for about a day.

This is very frustrating.

Have you contacted the host? They will probably ask you to verify that the domain points to their nameservers but it may be something else on their end. The site doesn't come up at all for me.

Wow, your'e right! When I first posted it was working. Must be all kinds of problems at their end, I can't even access via ftp now.

Might want to think about another host I guess...

I pay worldwebhosters $25 per year... I wonder if there are any comparable alternatives?

Jake, I use 1 and 1, $9. now what I would do is switch to 1 and 1 (transfer your domain) and jake I know you havethe site backedup. then tell your Credit card company, to not authorize the next bill you get. or log in and change the year it expires.
