For the Franglais-challenged:

| Disposable email addresses are invaluable when ordering merchandise online, registering at Web sites, or when an annoying person keeps pestering you for your email address. Jetable adds a new wrinkle to free disposable addresses by permitting you to determine the lifespan of the address, from one hour to one month. As soon as your address is created, any mail sent to your short-term address is automatically forwarded to your real email address until the Jetable address vaporizes into the cyber cosmos. |
LifeSpan
Heure: Hour
Jour: Day
Semaine: Week
Mois: Month
====================================
Would it tantalize you if I told you that Jetable also has a FireFox extension? |

Consider this one as a mailinator with a 'wrinkle'!
I have used both over time but I still prefer the way FastMail.fm allows for "Aliasing" and "SubDomaining".
If you have never tried the combinations of these two obfuscations techniques together, then mailinator and/or jetable may just be the right ticket for occasional user(s)!
FastMail.fm allows you to actually watch if the temporary email addie you have created starts getting peddled about. Additionally, you can monitor the addie as it morphs.
Implementing simple filtering rules within fastmail user options will readily purge the addie permanently, when/if you grow sick of watching/monitoring its ... errr... evolution!

I use spamgourmet. Only 1 visit to the site to set up a username for multiple identities and to choose where I wish my mail forwarded. (I set up a sneakemail account for that).
This is how it works: I register at a site and I need a legitimate email address so I type in "someword".x.spamgourmetidentity@spamgourmet.com
Let's say, I want an email address that expires here at lockergnome and my username at spamgourmet is clueless_sue
I'd register here like this: lgforum.5.clueless_sue DeleteThis @spamgourmet.com
Lockergnome may contact me 5 times. The x value can be between 1 and 10 so some email addresses will never expire if you set them for 10 and the site doesn't spam you. This method has worked for me for years; especially for sites that insist on sending you updates on software even though I'm not interested.

I`ve also used it a lot, but I have found that some sites seem to be savvy to it and if a confirmation mail is needed, sometimes it just doesn`t arrive! |

Thanks for that tip. I've tried Mailinator and it seems like a good one. |

Or maybe www.spambox.us ?! The same as the first post, but with a kind of more professionalism over it.
