I have many MP3 archives Which I recorded using Audacity. They average about 45 minutes and include 10 trax, each ending up with a DJ reading off the Artists' names & track titles. I can create a text file, typing in the data & saving the file so I can open it and copy the list to the clipboard. I can then enter the list into the file using Winamp (which I LOVE!), then the list can be viewed in either Winamp or WMP. I just figured this out, and it seems to me that this makes the archive a great deal more valuable, because we can find out what's in the playlist w/o having to listen and maybe go to the trouble of skipping around inside the file to find out what tunes are contained within.
Now to my question: Windows Explorer (My Computer) can display a 'comments' column for each file, but the field is not large enough to contain the entire list; it gets truncated by about half, depending, of course, on the no. of characters involved. So is there a way to enlarge the field in order to accomodate more data?

Did you try using your mouse to move the divider and adjust it that way? Left click the spacers until you get the + and you can adjust the length somewhat.

Sometimes the simplest, most obvious answers are the ones that are overlooked! Laughing

However, if that is not the solution, perhaps you could look at the vast range of other options available within Explorer (in the View / Details option).
Right-click on the top bar (besides 'name' or comment') and choose 'More' from the drop-down menu.
The choices within here are quite numerous, and in most you can specify a field width using the small window at the bottom.

I couldn't find that right click adjustment for the width size in "Windows Explorer" (My Computer), although it is there in regular folders like My Documents. But I did find it using the toolbar in Windows Explorer (My Computer). It's at View-"Choose Details", rather than "More".
