I have a Canon Multipass 360.

Every single time I have to change the ink the darn thing won't print in either color or black. This time the only color it is picking up is the red so everything comes out pink. The black is fine. I have used rubbing alcohol to clean the print head as once instructed by Canon. That didn't help. I know if I get in touch with Canon they're going to tell me I need another print head and this one isn't that old as I bought one early this year or late last.

I last printed in June and it worked fine but ink was low. So you can see I don't use it much but I would like it to work when I need it! I don't think I'll ever buy a Canon again since this problem happens again and again!

Can anyone help me to get this stupid thing working properly??

If you put back your old ink cartridge will it still work (even if it's light or fading)? Depending on the printer internals, there might be a ribbon belt that you can see that's along the side of the ink cartridges. You might want to see if that needs cleaning as well (be gentle as that ribbon is very delicate).

No ribbon belt. Canon keeps telling me to clean the print head. That seems to be their standard answer!

I've already cleaned the stupid thing. Of course now they want me to buy another new print head! Great way to make money off me. Make a print head that only lasts a year or less so not only do I have to buy expensive ink I also have to constantly buy new print heads!

Way to go Canon. I won't be buying another one that's for sure!

I will never buy another Canon machine again!!!!

When I contact customer service it is suggested to me that I buy a new print head. So I spend the 50$ and guess what IT STILL WON'T WORK!! Now I have no ink what so ever, just a blank page!

I talk to cs again and they say sorry for your luck! Print heads are not returnable unless unopened. Well how am I supposed to find out if that's the problem if I don't open it???? They say, send it back, at my expense, and they'll test it. If it is the head they will send me a new one, if not I get the same one back and a printer that won't work! Since I don't have a repair place in my town they want me to mail my machine to a place 60 miles away! Of course, at my expense. I can't do that as I'm on a pension and can't afford it. Besides I can buy a new machine for less than it would cost to mail it to them!!!!

Then they offer me a new all-in-one for 20% off. So now they want me to spend 70$ plus taxes on a new machine and I still have to keep the 50$ print head for my old machine that won't work!!!!!

I am thoroughly disgusted with the treatment I have received from Canon. The last guy I talked to actually hung up on me after I told him I didn't appreciate being called a liar!

As I said I WILL NEVER BUY A CANON PRODUCT AGAIN.

You can't really appreciate Canon service till you work in a Printer Service Center and have to listen to the customers scream bloody murder when you tell them it may take a month to get their Canon printer back from a Warranty Repair. Crying or Very sad
I've been there, and my ears are still ringing! Twisted Evil

However, on the opposite side of the coin, we were also an Epson Printer Repair Depot. All it took was a toll-free call to Epson Parts and I had the needed part in my hands by 10:00AM the next day. We had lots of very happy Epson printer customers. Very Happy

Like so many other companies, Epson no longer has "Service Centers", but they just ship their warranty customers a new printer when there's a problem with their Epson product. I have three Epson printers here and I almost made it FOUR when I found a new AIO printer/scanner/copier for sale for just $60 at Office Max. It was all this old fool could do to resist the temptation to take that little printer home with me. Laughing

For a great deal on Epson products, watch their "Epson Store" site for sales on discontinued and Refurbished printers, scanners and AIO's.

I just bought a beautiful little scanner there a few months back.
It will scan 35mm color slides.....just what I was looking for.

Cheers Mates and Happy Printing!
