Just thought I would post something helpful seeing as how you guys have provided me with so much helpful info. I have a Canon Pixma IP5200r printerin my office that was assigned a manual IP address. It lost this setting and would not communicate over IP at all; no ping no nothing. After days of banging my head against the wall and getting no helpful answers from Canon's website or e-mail support, I finally fixed it by holding down the "Resume" button until it blinked 12 times. Then I was able to hold down the "resume" button for 6 blinks and it printed out its new IP address. I was then able to get into its web interface with that IP address and change it back to the manual IP settings it was supposed to have. Also, don't buy this printer if you are running Windows Server 2003 or above because there are no drivers.
