| Well unfortunately it is because of your graphics card. Intel graphics cards aren't supported by the game because most don't support Hardware T&L (which is a part of DirectX 9).
Even more unfortunately is that you're using a laptop, laptop graphics cards can't be changed so you're not going to be able to run the game on it.
On a slightly better note you'll be able to run the first Call of Duty which in my opinion is actually better and it's expansion pack as well.

| Thanks for the help. I have the first call of duty, and the expansion pack. They will run on this machine, but the graphics won't display right. I can almost play the game, but the scenery layers show up in the wrong places if that makes since. From what you can tell about my machine, do you think this problem can be fixed?

A screenshot would be good if you could do that.
First thing that spring to mind is lowering the graphical settings and updating the graphics card driver (drivers should be available from the manufacturer). |

hello guys i get an error when the windows installer is loading its loads all the way then i get an error 1607: unable to install installshield scripting runtime.
any ideas how to fix |

I reinsalled the program a 3 times but it was the same.
I am using a cracked version but my friends had used the same cds and they did'nt have this problem. |

AND
When I go out from CoD2:

I install cracked version of CoD2 but I have original cd key.
I don't know what to do whit my problems.
First when I saw WIN_OUT_OF_MEM_BODY error I try to find some think wrong about my memory, but I didn't find a problem.
Problem is not in computer because
this is new computer.
I bought it before Christmas.
Operate system: Windows XP Professional
About "memory":
I have 320 GB hard disk.
260 GB free space.
2 GB RAM memory.
Pls help me about this tree problems! |

| Another possible fix for when it attempts to open, but crashes is to plug in a microphone, it seemed to work for me |

thing is i read in this post previously tht intel integrated graphics cards dont work, games like Fear...Stalker etc games ran ok on my laptop, further more COD2 runs for around 20 mins....and then the Laptop suddenly shuts down,
Please help me, I would really appreciate it. |

Helps me not
1. Download update from a different server/ mirror (can�t hurt Smile )
2. Uninstall Cod2
3. Delete the "Activision" folder in your Program Files folder (all downloaded mods will be gone, so save
them 1st)
4. Reinstall Cod2
5. Run patch v1.2
6 Play game
I have this problem
