Hi guys!
I haven't done any webdesign in a while, and recently I was recruited to re-do my schools website. And I've always been told not to format with tables and I figured this time I wouldn't use tables, and I'd format with CSS.
And I spent a while trying to figure out what to do to get my elements to work. I finally came up with using "Position: absolute;" and specifying how many pixels from top/left each element had to be (using guess and check/the ruler in the web developer firefox add-on).
The problem arose, when I looked at it on monitors with different resolutions (mines maybe 1440x900--it's 16:10) but it doesn't work so well on others. Saying most of the people viewing it wont have similar set-ups I need some advice on how to align and have it be good on different sizes
Below is a photo of what it should look like. (ignore the green for the time being)
and here's a link to the actual demo:

Content is all blahh right now, just ignore it.
Advice? thanks!
