Hi,

Google is hijacked to send me to different pages when I clilcked a 'main' link, though any other links work fine. I can paste or type directly in the address bar fine. I cannot download any programs/exe files. Malware bytes, or generally ANY malware program will either not install, or if it does install will not run (program loads and I can see it in the task manager, but cannot see any gui). Online scans (panda for example) will not install or run.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

Welcome to Lockergnome.

Will Malwarebytes' run if you rename it? Download it again and before you save it, rename it to something like MBNorthern_Wolf.exe instead. Then see if you can install it. After you install it, don't run it yet. Go to C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ and rename mbam.exe to mbNorthern_Wolf.exe also. Then try running it and checking for updates before running a full scan.

1. Download combofix at http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/ComboFix.exe or http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe Save it as CFNorthern_Wolf.exe to your Desktop before you run it.
2. Double-click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply.

Note:
Do not click on combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall.
