Yes? Sure, but can I put them in the media closet, connect them to the system via a Bluetooth/USB hub, and use them both without a physical switch?

Yes again? Uh huh, so why can't I find the hardware to do it? I find single-input Bt USB printer broadcasters, and lots of 2-to-2 USB hubs, but nothing comes together. Do I have to shell out double buck$ for two devices?

Seems like I need either a powered hub with 4 inputs (Bt dongle, printer, scanner, free), or a Bt USB printer server with an additional USB input.

I want my system isolated in the office, and the USB perifs in the media closet where the cable/phone/modem connections are all surge protected and off my desk, connected by Bt.

It's really bugging me. Am I being dense, or is this just an impossible wish? Help?!

Hello,

I cannot say that I have heard of a USB to Bluetooth wireless bridge which allows you to connect multiple devices to the bridge and access them from a remote computer. I have seen single device USB to Bluetooth adapters. It is possible you could use a pair of these with one computer, although signal interference between the two might limit the transmission range and speed.

A new technology is emerging called Wireless USB which claims to provide what you are looking for, however, I do not believe the technology is shipping.

Another possibility is to if you were to use a networked printer and scanner. You could connect them to a Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g) bridge and access them across your network wirelessly.
