Blogger has some limitations versus other types of blogging systems, such as Moveable Type. Namely, weblogs.com doesn't get pinged (in the non-pro version) and trackbacks are not registered to blog sites that are referenced. I have addressed this with a php application on my web site that reads the RSS feed of my blog and does the pings and trackbacks. See my article on it
