A friend...before checking with me, ordered OpenOffice off eBay. On the ebay site, it looks like a commercially packaged software and he touts that it comes with several security programs as well.
Here is the Ebay LINK

She paid $5 for shipping. She received it today and here are her comments.

So, a homemade CD ONLY arrived in the mail today. A .52 stamp in place and his return addy listing only a PO Box number and his first name. ALL generated on the computer. I sent him a nasty email and told him that I am completely unwilling to install something on my computer that has NOT been factory sealed and may have a virus.

The license for OOo does allow for reselling but this is to my mind, highly unethical as it is available for Free on the OpenOffice web site. On the OOo board, it's also mentioned that some web sites are selling it and when you go to download, they get re-directed to some questionable site.

Bottom line: Download OOo only from their site. It's a really great alternative to MS Office if you haven't tried it yet.
