I'm amazed I had the presence of mind to grab this, since the cam refreshes every 5 seconds.

I'm becoming less and less impressed with Geocities with every passing day. And I didn't like it all that much three years ago. Neat tools, poor service.

Is this one of those image hosting issues.?? Where you can change the extension of the jpg file to .html so that it won't be blocked yet still be viewable?

I was going to say it was an image hosting issue...although I've never heard of (or tried) the switching to html thing--might me worth a try. But that was one of the main reasons I finally dropped geocities and got my own domain. Now I can link anything! Smile

Geocities blocks "hotlinking" of images by checking what site you were previously on when you clicked the link. This way you can't use images hosted on their servers, unless you are using their servers. Not an all that bad policy from a webhost's point of view, especially a free host. But it is irratating to the users.

To get around it, just copy and past the URL, like MinnieTaur said.

Whatever you do, don't use One2Host (http://www.one2host.com). In a week, I've had 14 hours of downtime - that I've noticed. Even for a site like mine that gets 2 hits a day on a good day, that's unacceptable.

You can get around a lot of these things with the Proxomitron. It's freeware get it here.
It is a local proxy that screens and makes corrections to web pages before they hit your browser. One advantage is that it's a dandy pop-up killer and it also handles the referrer tags that will stop you from viewing "deep linked" images on websites.

BTW, that's a pretty gross pic, Dude.
