I've just been privileged to watch the one of the most amazing innings in 129 years of
test cricket history.
Batting against England, Australian wicket-keeper
Adam Gilchrist scored his century off only 57 balls in 99 minutes. It included 12 fours, and 4 sixes. A phenomenal accomplishment.
The record is currently held by West Indian Viv Richards who scored a century off 56 balls (one less than Gilchrist's) in 1985.
