Clif Notes Newsletter, Feb 2007

"The COOLSITES Newsletter - find the coolest links here. This fella named Mark Donaldson has been sending out his lists of cool sites since 2003. I'd never heard of him before last week. One day I was Googling myself to see who was posting links to my newsletter, and I found his website. I guess he's mentioned my newsletter at least 3 times. I like the COOLSITES website too, but I think it could use some reformatting to make it a bit easier to read. What I really like is the content there. Mark must really read a lot of stuff on the web and he takes the best links then tells you about them."

Attn: My Dear,
I am Mrs Mary Susan Derrick, I am a US citizen, 48 years Old. I reside here in New Braunfels Texas. My residential address is as follows. 108 Crockett Court. Apt 303, New Braunfels Texas, United States, am thinking of relocating since I am now rich. I am one of those that took part in the Compensation in Nigeria many years ago and they refused to pay me, I had paid over $20,000 while in the US, trying to get my payment all to no avail.
So I decided to travel down to Nigeria with all my compensation documents, And I was directed to meet Mr.Ben Douglas, who is the member of COMPENSATION AWARD COMMITTEE, and I contacted him and he explained everything to me. He said whoever is contacting us through emails are fake.
He took me to the paying bank for the claim of my Compensation payment. Right now I am the most happiest woman on earth because I have received my compensation funds of $1,500,000.00 Moreover, Mr Cliff Oyiogu, showed me the full information of those that are yet to receive their payments and I saw your name as one of the beneficiaries, and your email address, that is why I decided to email you to stop dealing with those people, they are not with your fund, they are only making money out of you. I will advise you to contact Mr.Ben Douglas.
You have to contact him directly on this information below.
COMPENSATION AWARD HOUSE
Name : Mr.Ben Douglas
Email: mr.bendouglas2222 DeleteThis @sbcglobal.net
Phone: +234-802-280-5877
You really have to stop dealing with those people that are contacting you and telling you that your fund is with them, it is not in anyway with them, they are only taking advantage of you and they will dry you up until you have nothing.
The only money I paid after I met Mr.Ben Douglas was just $590 for the paper works, take note of that.
Once again stop contacting those people, I will advise you to contact Mr.Ben Douglas so that he can help you to Deliver your fund instead of dealing with those liars that will be turning you around asking for different kind of money to complete your transaction.
Thank You and Be Blessed.
Mrs. Mary Susan Derrick

"Websense® Security Labs(TM) ThreatSeeker(TM) Network has discovered a phishing campaign targeting customers of Standard Chartered Bank.
Our email honeypot systems have received several phishing emails targeting customers of Standard Chartered Bank today. The phishing email tells recipients that there is a new message in their secure mailbox, and attempts to trick them to go to a spoofed Web site and enter their logon information. The aim is to steal account information.
We have previously alerted on a phishing attack on Standard Chartered before in 2006 - but that was focused more on their Hong Kong customer base. The phishing template has also been updated. We will continue to track this trend.

Help Needed
I have a friend whose printer died and needs another one. However his system is Windows ME and there are no new printers being sold that are 98/ME compatible. I found only one online at Compuvelocity but I don't know if they're trustworthy. I would like to get him a new or used printer for as cheap as possible. I don't have a PayPal account and don't want to use EBay. Any help would be appreciated. Mark.
